The standard bullet points used to be check marks, but now they have disappeared and became empty squares (which are kind of weak). I deactivated the only plugin I have installed lately, but that didn’t fix it. WPML has recently updated, but I’m not 100% sure that is what caused this issue, and I have no idea how to figure that out or fix it. Can you help me?

you could also install a plugin named as fontawesome here is a link https://wordpress.org/plugins/font-awesome/
for quick solution just install it and activate it and it will resolve the issue, if not then let us know
